Dear Neighbors,
I hope you all enjoyed the 80-degree day this week – I know I did! It’s also nice to see the sun past 6:00PM!
In this week’s e-newsletter is information on upcoming events, what I have been up to in the district and in Harrisburg, and important information on my e-newsletters.
As always, if you need anything, feel free to give my office a call at 215-323-6997 or reply to this email!

I know you are all accustomed to receiving my emails Friday evenings, but in order to reach more people, I have decided that – starting after Easter – my emails will be sent out Tuesday evenings instead. Until then, enjoy the last few Friday evening news blasts!

Due to availability issues, we have changed the date for our Shred Event from Saturday, April 18 to Sunday, April 19. The event will still be held at Warminster Community Park from 10:00AM - 12:00PM.

Yesterday, my office hosted an expungement clinic alongside staffers from Legal Aid of Southeast Pennsylvania and the Bucks County Clerk of Courts. The event was a great success!
I would like to give a special thanks to all the staffers from the three offices that attended, the Ben Wilson Senior Activity Center for hosting us, and my friend, the Clerk of Courts, Eileen Hartnett Albillar for making this event possible!

CBSD Fifth Grade Harrisburg Tour
|
Earlier this week, I had a great time giving a group of exceptional fifth graders from the Central Bucks School District a tour of the Capitol Building in Harrisburg! I was joined by my fellow Bucks County State Reps. Tim Brennan and Shelby Labs.
I was more than happy to show the students around, talk about how state government works, and answer any and all of their questions!

AI Data Center Regulation Bills
|
Although data centers bring good jobs to our state, without strict regulations, Pennsylvanians face higher energy and utility costs to subsidize the millions in profit of data centers. Therefore, data centers must be held to strict regulation standards to ensure that exploitation does not occur; they will not make money off the backs of our constituents.
As such, I am proud to announce that I am co-sponsoring HB 2150 and HB 2151 -- two bills that would regulate AI data centers in Pennsylvania, and address some of the issues that have arisen.
HB 2150: It would require data center developers and users to report their operations and energy and water usage to Pennsylvania, which would then issue an impact report and recommend any needed environmental actions to the General Assembly.
HB 2151: It would direct municipalities to regulate data centers and adopt local ordinances to limit harmful impacts on nearby communities.
It’s important to me to advocate for more laws tackling AI-related issues and fighting for affordable energy for Pennsylvanians.

Bucks County Drum Company Tour
|
I recently stopped by Bucks County Drum Company in Warrington for a tour with owner Chris Carr and to see firsthand the incredible craftsmanship behind his work.
Chris founded Bucks County Drum Company in 2005 after teaching himself the art of drum building, and for more than two decades he has been handcrafting drums with remarkable precision and care.
His drums have even been played by notable musicians such as Bernard Purdie and David Uosikkinen, a testament to the quality of his work.
It was great learning more about Chris’s process and seeing how a local business is keeping the spirit of Bucks County craftsmanship alive. Thank you for the tour and for sharing your story.
