Dear Neighbors,
Next Saturday, September 6, my district team and I are hosting a free shredding event at Warminster Community Park to help you safely dispose of unneeded documents containing your personal information.
Shredding old documents that include sensitive information—such as your Social Security number, account numbers, passwords, or health records—is a great way to protect yourself from identity theft and fraud. Examples of such documents include pay stubs, credit card statements, medical bills, pre-approved credit card applications—even junk mail!
We’ll be at the park from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Please register in advance so we know to expect you. Note that the event is only for individual community members, not businesses, so please bring only household documents.
We hope to see you there!

McDonald Elementary Back to School Bash
|
Last weekend, I attended the McDonald Elementary Back-to-School Bash, where they distributed more backpacks than ever in the history of this annual event! Thank you to all the parents, teachers, and volunteers who organize it each year to ensure every student at the school has the supplies they need to succeed.

BSA Troop 172 Space Exploration Day
|
I’ve always been interested in space and astronomy, and this Sunday I had the chance to share that with BSA Troop 174 during their Space Exploration and Rocket Launch Day. We met at Lower Nike Park in Warrington, where each Scout had the opportunity to launch a rocket.

Thanks for Visiting the Workforce on Wheels!
|
Earlier this week, my office hosted the PA CareerLink Workforce on Wheels, offering free resume and job-searching services right in our parking lot. Thank you to everyone who came out to take advantage of this opportunity, and to PA CareerLink for supporting potential employees in our district!

New Central Bucks School District Property Tax Rebate
|
Central Bucks School District now offers a property tax rebate program that complements the state-level Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PTRR) program.
Eligible residents within the district who receive a state-level PTRR rebate can apply for an additional rebate from the school district. The district’s rebate will equal 50% of the rebate received from the state.
Nearly 2,000 households in the Central Bucks School District currently receive PTRR rebates from the state and may qualify for this additional rebate from CBSD!
Learn more about the state’s PTRR program and the CBSD program.

PA Mentor-Protégé Program expanded to support
more veteran-owned businesses
|
The Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP), launched by the PA Dept. of General Services in May 2024, pairs experienced contractors with small, diverse, and veteran-owned businesses to help them grow, compete, and win state contracts.
Interested firms can learn more and apply online. If your company is not a current ITQ vendor with PA, you should begin the ITQ prequalification process to become eligible. For questions, please contact Charlie White, MPP Manager.
To be eligible for the MPP:
- Mentors must be active PA prime contractors in good standing with at least one contract award of $300,000 or more in the past three years.
- Protégés must be verified as a Small Diverse Business (SDB) or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) by DGS and listed on Consulting Services ITQ.
Expanding the MPP is part of the Shapiro-Davis Administration’s broader effort to open doors for businesses of all sizes and backgrounds. Earlier this summer, DGS also launched new Micro and Midsize Business Programs.
