Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of meeting with incredible individuals and organizations. Each one has brought insight, passion, and purpose to the work we share across our Commonwealth.
My colleague Representative Nate Davidson often reminds us that real justice begins with the courage to face the truth, even when that truth is painful. I carried that reminder with me as I joined the Pennsylvania House Democratic Policy Committee for a hearing on the statute of limitations for survivors of child sexual abuse.
This conversation brought together survivors, legal professionals, and advocates who offered both their expertise and their personal experiences. For many years, the reality of child sexual abuse in Pennsylvania has been documented mainly through Grand Jury reports. This hearing created an important public space to confront these difficult truths and to continue advancing the accountability that survivors deserve.
I am deeply grateful to every person who testified. Your courage and your knowledge drive meaningful change. The House has taken action, and survivors have made their voices heard. It is now the responsibility of Senate leadership to listen and to move this retroactive window forward.

I also had the opportunity to welcome several visitors whose work is strengthening our communities in so many different ways.
It was a pleasure to meet Jason from Maple Glen, who serves on the board of the Mortgage Bankers Association. Our conversation in my Harrisburg office about the current mortgage and housing landscape in Pennsylvania was incredibly valuable. Discussions like these help ensure that we remain informed about the challenges and opportunities facing homebuyers, lenders, and neighborhoods throughout the Commonwealth.

Another meaningful visit came from students in the Upper Dublin School District and the Hatboro Horsham School District. They were brought to the Capitol by Kaitlin, an Education Policy Associate with Children First Pennsylvania. These students have been learning about state and local government and how they can use their voices to influence legislation. Their curiosity, passion, and commitment to improving schools and learning experiences left me inspired and hopeful about the future of education in Pennsylvania.

One of the highlights of this season has been welcoming Jordan through the STRIVE program at Hatboro Horsham High School. Jordan quickly became an invaluable part of our team. His hard work, positive attitude, and dedication made a lasting impact. We are excited to cheer him on as he begins his next chapter at Gwynedd Mercy University, and we have no doubt he will continue to make a difference wherever he goes.

I also enjoyed meeting with the liaisons from Knoebels here at the Capitol. Knoebels was recently ranked as the number one theme park in the entire country, a recognition that is more than well deserved. From the classic rides to the iconic food to the unmatched charm, Knoebels has been creating joyful memories for generations. Their continued contribution to tourism and to local communities across Pennsylvania is something we can all celebrate.

Finally, I am grateful to Goodwill Keystone for taking the time to meet with me and share more about their sustainability efforts. Their work reduces waste, promotes environmental stewardship, and creates meaningful opportunities that support individuals and families. I appreciate everything they do to strengthen our region and I look forward to supporting their mission.
