I hope everyone who celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah enjoyed joyful and meaningful moments with family and friends. As we wrap up the year, I’d like to share a few moments that reminded me how fortunate I am to represent such an engaged and vibrant community.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the chance to connect with many of you in both traditional and unexpected ways. At our recent Unclaimed Property event at Neshaminy Falls in Montgomery Township, I was delighted to see residents coming together, playing games, and enjoying one another’s company. When one group asked why I had never joined them before, I explained that I simply hadn’t been invited. They immediately welcomed me to their weekly Scrabble game. Although my schedule kept me busy for a while, I was grateful to finally take my lunch break and join them. Moments like these serve as a wonderful reminder of the importance of meeting people where they are so I can better understand and represent our community, both in Harrisburg and at home. Thank you to the residents of Neshaminy Falls for the warm invitation.

I also had the joy of welcoming the fourth- and fifth-grade choir from Jarrettown Elementary back to Harrisburg this holiday season. Their voices filled the Main Capitol Rotunda with music that lifted spirits and captured the beauty of this time of year. Watching these talented young students perform holiday classics in such a historic space was truly special. After their performance, the choir explored the Capitol, experiencing the history and civic pride this building represents. I am deeply grateful to the Jarrettown Elementary choir, the Upper Dublin School District, Music Director Mr. Stoudt, and the parents who made this visit possible. Their dedication ensures that traditions like this continue to brighten our holidays.

I also had the pleasure of meeting with Jim, a constituent and business owner from Upper Dublin, to learn more about his company, its values, and its goals. Every business has a story—about the people who built it, the challenges they’ve faced, and the vision they hold for the future. By listening directly to business owners, I gain a deeper understanding of the policies and resources that can best support them. These conversations help guide my work as I advocate for initiatives that encourage growth, foster innovation, and strengthen our local economy. Thank you to Jim for sharing his time and insight. I look forward to continuing these conversations with more business owners across our district.
|
Finally, I had the opportunity to join the Policy Committee, along with the Philadelphia and Southeast Delegations, for a policy tour and roundtable discussion with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19. Hearing directly from the hardworking men and women who keep our industries moving was both inspiring and informative. Their experiences and perspectives are essential as we work to strengthen our workforce, support good-paying jobs, and ensure that our policies reflect the needs of those who build and sustain our communities. I am grateful to Local 19 for hosting us and for their continued partnership.

As we enter the new year, I remain committed to listening, learning, and working alongside you to build a stronger future for our district. Thank you for the many ways you contribute to our community. Wishing you and your families a peaceful holiday season and a joyful start to the year ahead.
