Borowski sworn in for first term

HARRISBURG, Jan. 3 – State Rep. Lisa Borowski took the oath of office today in the state Capitol to begin her first term representing the 168th Legislative District in Delaware County.
The noon swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of the 2023-24 session of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Borowski has served as vice president of the Radnor Township School District’s school board, leading the way in crafting one of the area’s first fully-day kindergarten programs. She later ran for township commissioner and was elected president of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners.
“With this new class of freshmen comes new ideas and opportunities for PA to grow,” Borowski said. “I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues in the House to make sure your priorities are represented. I’m ready to get to work and serve my neighbors in this new role.”
Borowski said her office can help with a variety of state-related services, including home heating assistance, children’s health insurance, prescription drug and property tax/rent rebate assistance. Dauphin County Judge John McNally administered the oath of office.
In her first term, Borowski joins 26 other first-term members. It’s the largest and most diverse class of freshmen legislators in more than a decade.
The Democratic Caucus continues to become more reflective of the state’s people with 35 women and 34 people of color.
