Tell the Senate to deliver real tax relief for seniors – not more gimmicks.

Anytime you’re online you’re bombarded with ads. Games, videos, social media – endless ads costing you time and costing us all money. Thanks to out-of-date state laws those Big Tech companies are making millions selling those ads to companies – and keeping every penny to reward shareholders and find out even more ways to get ads in front of you online.

House Democrats fought and won to pass a bipartisan bill to tax Big Tech on those ads – and use the half-BILLION dollars we’d raise to make sure senior citizens would never see another property tax hike ever again.

The problem? The Senate Republicans are sitting on the bill, refusing to bring it up for a vote. To add insult to injury, some Senators are playing a game of bait and switch – claiming they have a bill to end property taxes entirely for people over 75, but with absolutely no way to pay for it. This pie-in-the-sky plan would require billions in sales and income tax hikes.

That’s not happening.

Tell your Senator to join us and put Big Tech on notice – they need to pay their fair share for the ads they bombard you with.

I’m tired of Big Tech putting ad after ad in my social media feeds and video views – and tired of them getting a free pass in Pennsylvania to do it without paying a dime in taxes.

I respectfully request you bring House Bill 1678 – The Digital Ad Tax -- up for a full senate vote before the end of the session this year. This bill would raise $500 million to cap property taxes for every senior and finally make Big Tech pay their fair share.

As Pennsylvanians struggle to put food on the table and gas in their cars, Big Tech companies like Amazon, Meta, Google, and Microsoft continue to profit off targeted digital ads without any accountability or oversight.

This bill is about fairness and Big Tech giving back to the communities they continue to take from – whether that’s building massive data centers in our communities or taking $11 billion in revenue from ads targeting Pennsylvanians. 

Please deliver real relief to our seniors and stand up to Big Tech. Pass the Digital Ad Tax immediately!
