SAVE LIVES, PROMOTE HEALTH, PROTECT JOBS AND KEEP RURAL HOSPITALS OPEN!

Affordable Care Act coverage is under attack by Republicans in Washington D.C. More than a half-million of our neighbors count on ACA coverage for their health insurance. That means people in our communities can afford to go to the doctor instead of waiting until they need the emergency room. That means people can take care of themselves and their families and go to work or to school with peace of mind that they’re protected and healthy. If federal support is gone, the average Pennsylvanian’s health insurance bills will go up by 102%. This is entirely due to the shutdown of the federal government – the federal government controlled by Republicans in the White House, U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and a Supreme Court that has given up its independence.

That’s why Pennsylvania House Democrats passed four bills to protect and preserve Affordable Care coverage in Pennsylvania no matter how long the Republican shutdown in Washington, D.C. lasts.

Now, those bills to save lives, help health care workers and keep the doors open at hospitals across the commonwealth are in the hands of the State Senate – and we need YOUR help to get the bills passed and sent to the governor to become law.

Preserve and Protect Affordable Care Act Coverage in PA

Email Body:

Please do the right thing and vote YES to preserve and protect Affordable Care Act coverage in Pennsylvania.

These House bills not only save lives but also support health care workers and keep rural hospitals open. We need coverage for people with pre-existing conditions (HB618), coverage for young people still living at home who don’t have coverage (HB404), coverage without lifetime benefits caps (HB535) and coverage that focuses on preventive care to deliver better long-term outcomes (HB755).

Please, pass these bills and send them to the governor to become law. We can’t afford to wait for Affordable Care coverage to be taken away by Washington, D.C. Our lives depend on it.
