Guenst celebrates $250,000 for Lower Moreland Township Park

State funding awarded for concession stand, ADA upgrades

LOWER MORELAND, Oct. 8 – State Rep. Nancy Guenst announced today that a state grant of $250,000 was awarded to support the rehabilitation of Lower Moreland Township Park.

“Parks are some of the most important spaces our community members use to play, connect with each other, and enjoy the outdoors,” said Guenst, D-Montgomery. “This investment will help make Lower Moreland Township Park more enjoyable and accessible for everyone and I’m proud to have helped secure state funding supporting these improvements.”

Guenst said the investment will help fund construction of a new comfort station with a concession stand, pedestrian walkways, ADA accessibility improvements, landscaping, and more.

The grant was awarded through the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnership Program, which seeks to connect Pennsylvanians with the outdoors by supporting recreational improvements, natural-resource conservation and community-revitalization efforts.
