Rep. Brian Munroe April 24, 2025 | 3:23 PM
HARRISBURG, April 23 – Yesterday, H.R. 176, introduced by state Rep. Brian Munroe, D-Bucks, was adopted by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
House Resolution 176 honors Pennsylvania law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2024 and 2025. Munroe, a Navy veteran, retired police officer and former firefighter, sponsored the resolution in formal recognition of the men and women who lost their lives in pursuit of keeping their communities safe.
Speaking on the House floor, Munroe reflected on the loss of Philadelphia Police Officer Jaime Junior Roman, who died in September as a result of a gunshot wound he received during a traffic stop in June 2024.
“Make no mistake, we lost a hero that day. The Fraternal Order of Police and the Philadelphia Police lost a brother, his wife lost a husband, and their children lost their dad. Let’s keep Officer Jaime Junior Roman in our memory, and let’s keep his family in our hearts and our prayers.”
