Brennan & Santarsiero to host Disability Resource Fair on April 10

DOYLESTOWN, March 4 – The public is invited to join state Rep. Tim Brennan and state Sen. Steve Santarsiero at a free Disability Resource Fair for those seeking connection and direction in navigating the system. This is the second time the legislators are teaming up to host a resource event for Bucks County residents impacted by disability; their fair last May marked the first time regional lawmakers hosted this type of collaboration for the community.

The event will feature government agencies as well as support organizations currently providing services for adults and children with disabilities and their caregivers.

Individuals with a disability and caregivers who need help navigating the system and/or learning what services are available can find information and connections at this fair. Among the participating organizations under the Bucks County government umbrella are the Area Agency on Aging, Assistance Office, Department of Human Services, and Department of Behavioral Health.

Other participants will include:

  • Bake Ability Bakery
  • Bucks County Center for Independent Living
  • Bucks County HUB
  • Bucks County Intermediate Unit
  • CHOP Center for Autism
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • PA Assistive Technology Foundation

The event will be held from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at New Hope-Solebury High School, located at 180 W. Bridge St. in New Hope.
