Solomon Statement on Positive COVID-19 Test

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 21 - State Rep. Jared Solomon, D-Phila., made the following statement regarding his recent positive test results for COVID-19.

"Late Friday evening, I began to experience mild symptoms typically associated with a head cold. Out of an abundance of caution, I tested for COVID-19 and received positive results Sunday, November 21. Despite being fully vaccinated I contracted a breakthrough infection. I immediately notified my HR team and my district office to conduct contact tracing protocols and to receive proper testing if necessary.  Thankfully, I was informed by HR that there is no potential exposure to the Harrisburg Capitol Campus, our staff, and my colleagues. I will be following the advice of the doctor and CDC guidance to work remotely and isolate for the next 10 days. Please stay safe and have a happy Thanksgiving!"
