Sanchez announces nearly $250K grant benefiting the Twining Valley Park project

UPPER DUBLIN, Dec. 30 – State Rep. Ben Sanchez, D-Montgomery, announced today that Upper Dublin Township received a $249,100 grant to go toward the development of Twining Valley Park.

This award will help fund the construction of a dog park, pump track, pickleball courts, pedestrian walkways, a parking area, stormwater management measures, installation of play equipment, lighting and utilities, ADA access, landscaping and other related site improvements.

“Redeveloping a former 105-acre golf course into what will be Twining Valley Park has been an exciting project underway in my district for some time. It’s uplifting to have these state dollars return to our region and see them benefit a project that countless people will enjoy for years to come,” Sanchez said. “The additions of a dog park, pickleball courts, pedestrian walkways and play equipment for children ensure that this park will have something for everyone and help strengthen our sense of community.”

The awarded funds are part of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Grant Program. This grant was allocated from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund.
