Living Wage for Direct Support Professionals

HARRISBURG, April 11 – State lawmakers held a House Majority Policy Committee roundtable discussion on the importance of ensuring direct support professionals can earn a living wage. Direct support professionals are people who support people with disabilities by assisting them, and they're dramatically underpaid. This hearing was hosted by Rep. Tarik Khan (D-Phila.) at the Pennsylvania Capitol building.
