Election Reform

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 2 — The House Democratic Policy Committee convened a hearing in Pittsburgh on Thursday to hear from local election officials and poll workers to dicuss what changes should be made to the state's election code to help elections run smoother and quicker in Pennsylvania. Testimony during the hearing pointed to the need for legislation that would allow for earlier pre-canvassing of mail-in ballots, early voting and same day voter registration. The hearing was hosted by Rep. Sara Innamorato at the Allegheny County Courthouse.
