I was recently selected by East Stroudsburg University as a Legislative Fellow. It was my honor and privilege to accept this distinction and attend the ceremony alongside ESU President Kenneth Long, as well as other university faculty, students, staff, and special guests from the community.
I greatly appreciated the visit to the campus and look forward to collaborating with the university’s faculty, staff, and students in the future.

Are you ready to vote on Municipal Election Day, Nov. 4th?
|
Are you ready to vote this Nov. 4th?
In Pennsylvania, we hold elections every year—twice a year—with a primary in the spring and a general election in the fall. That means every year, you have the power to shape who represents you at the local, county, state, and even judicial levels.
This November, voters in our community will choose leaders for critical positions that impact your daily life:
- School Board Directors
- Township Supervisors and Borough Council Members
- Mayors
- County Offices
- Judges for the County Court of Common Pleas
Across the commonwealth, voters will also weigh in on state judicial retention votes, as well as elections for a state Superior Court judge and a Commonwealth Court judge.
Historically, municipal elections typically have low voter turnout, which is a shame because people are opting out of deciding who represents them in areas ranging from our schools, law enforcement, and open space preservation to local taxation, zoning and development, and how justice is administered.
Make no mistake: the results of the upcoming election on November 4th will matter for years to come.
Your vote is your voice, and your vote is powerful. Make sure it’s heard on November 4th!

Cost increases to Pennie in 2026
|
Beginning in 2026, many Pennie enrollees will face higher health insurance costs. One major reason is the expiration of the federal enhanced tax credits, which have helped lower coverage costs since 2021. These enhanced tax credits are set to end on December 31, 2025, unless Congress acts to extend them.
Without these credits, premiums are expected to rise significantly—by at least 82% for many enrollees, with some facing even higher increases.
If you are currently enrolled through Pennie, you will receive communications about these upcoming changes. Please ensure your contact information is up to date, so you don’t miss important updates.
You can start exploring other plans to find one that fits your needs. The 2026 open enrollment period begins November 1, 2025, for coverage starting in 2026. You can also go to www.pennie.com/connect to find Pennie-certified assistance and brokers by your ZIP code.
If you use Pennie, you can visit https://pennie.com/costs/ to see how your coverage will be affected.
I also encourage you to reach out to your federal elected officials to share how these changes could impact you and your family. There is legislation pending in Washington, D.C., right now aimed at helping to keep this healthcare option affordable. Hearing directly from constituents helps representatives understand how important affordable healthcare coverage is to our communities.
