PennDOT Launches Online Payment System for Road User Charge

A picture of an electric vehicle charging station with a car plugged in to charge.

To enhance customer service, PennDOT recently launched a new online payment application for the Road User Charge (RUC).

This secure online platform will allow electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) owners to quickly pay their RUC online using their plate number, the first eight digits of their title number, current odometer reading, and a valid credit or debit card.

Customers will still have the option to pay by mail, but the new online system is expected to streamline payment and improve the customer experience. Click here to pay online today.

2025 Sunday Hunting Dates

A graphic that says "Pennsylvania's 2025 Sunday Hunting Dates: •	September 14, 21, 28 •	October 5, 12, 19, 26 •	November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 •	December 7"

As the co-chair of the PA Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, I want to share an update on the progress of Sunday hunting in Pennsylvania. The Game Commission has voted to expand Sunday hunting opportunities starting this September, giving hunters more chances to get out into the field.

Here are the new Sunday hunting dates:

  • September 14, 21, 28
  • October 5, 12, 19, 26
  • November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
  • December 7

The new dates will fall within existing hunting seasons, except for migratory game bird seasons, due to federal limits.

This is a big win for Pennsylvania’s hunters and a meaningful step forward in making the sport more accessible for everyone.

Watch Out for these Transportation-related Scams!

A graphic that says "SCAM ALERT: If you receive a text from Commonwealth of PA DMV or PA Turnpike about unpaid parking tickets or tolls with a threat to suspend your license - it is a scam. Report scams to Reportfraud.ftc.gov"

State officials are warning Pennsylvanians about phishing texts and email scams impersonating PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, EZ Pass, and other transportation-related agencies. The fraudulent messages direct users to click a link and make an urgent payment or face penalties such as vehicle registration suspensions, driver’s license suspensions, fines, and other penalties.

DO NOT CLICK ON THESE LINKS or any others claiming to be from transportation agencies if you did not initiate the contact, and don’t mail payments unless you have confirmed that a request is legitimate through official channels. You can report any scams to Reportfraud.ftc.gov.
