O’Mara accepts award from Cabrini University honoring influential women in public service

RADNOR, Sept. 13 — Cabrini University’s History and Political Science Department chose state Rep. Jennifer O’Mara, D-Delaware, as this year’s recipient of the Ivy Young Willis and Martha Willis Dale Award.

This award is annually bestowed to one woman who has made significant contributions in the public affairs field and to the civic life of her community, ranging from local to international. O’Mara earned the award for her creative, innovative and progressive contributions to the state legislature.

“I’m humbled to accept this award and join so many influential and inspirational women who have received this same recognition before me. Representation in every level of government is so important, and the Ivy Young Willis and Martha Willis Dale Award sheds a light on the meaningful work of strong female leaders right here in Delaware County,” O’Mara said.

O’Mara will accept the award tomorrow, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m. at the campus’ Woodcrest Mansion. Media are invited to attend the free event.

Photos will be posted on O’Mara’s legislative social media accounts, @RepOMara.
