Artificial intelligence (AI) is a major policy topic, and it is already impacting our lives in ways that many of us have yet to fully understand. That is why we are proud to offer a third virtual town hall on AI—aptly titled “Talking with AI”—on October 23. This virtual town hall will be available for live viewing on RepDanMiller.com starting at 2 p.m.

We are excited to hear from a panel of experts from Carnegie Mellon University who are at the forefront of exploring how AI can be used directly with people to enhance their lives. The discussion will cover how AI is already being applied in social contexts, what people should know about the benefits of AI–human interaction, and some of the challenges that need to be considered. AI may offer ways to help combat loneliness or isolation, but it also raises important questions about the limits of such connectivity and the potential impact these interactions can have on mental health and the social engagement of young people.
