2026 Summit Planning & Our Alzheimer's Symposium Reminder

Planning is underway for our 2026 Disability & Mental Health Summit. Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Community College of Allegheny County’s Allegheny Campus on the North Side.

Now in its 13th year, our free Summit is the largest event of its kind in western Pennsylvania. It has touched thousands of lives and educated legislators from both sides of the aisle, while helping to inform families and working to increase opportunities for self-advocates across the board.

Each year the Summit differs in form and content, but the 2026 event will include programming, resources, guest speakers, and special events! You’ll find 100s of exhibitors at our Resource Fair, and experts from a variety of backgrounds providing comprehensive information for attendees. Updates and details about next year’s sessions and speakers will be found at DisabilitySummit.com as they become available.

Organizations lining up to support our efforts include:

  • Allegheny Intermediate Unit
  • Community College of Allegheny County
  • Every Child Inc.
  • Pittsburgh Public Schools
  • Film Pittsburgh’s ReelAbilities Festival
  • Special Olympics
  • Thirteen Ball
  • Upper St. Clair School District

Our planning committee is meeting monthly. If you’re interested in becoming involved, please contact our office at 412-343-3870 or email RepMiller@pahouse.net.

REMINDER: Our Alzheimer’s Symposium is tomorrow!

Please join us tomorrow evening at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon at our annual Alzheimer’s Symposium. We’ll hear from experts about the latest in diagnosis and treatment, how you can take steps now to reduce your risk, and what resources are available to individuals and families. Learn more here.

As always, if you have questions about any of this information or any state-related matter, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 412-343-3870 or RepMiller@pahouse.net.

Please note that our office will not have evening hours tomorrow since we’ll be with our friends and neighbors at the Alzheimer's event. We’ll reopen on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m.
