Please Join Us: Virtual Lunch & Learn Series on Medicaid/SNAP Changes

Over the past few months, there has been much discussion about Medicaid and SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). While most people have heard of these programs, many are not aware of their scope and the services that they provide – and how this safety net could be impacted by recent changes made at the federal level.

Please join us for a series of Virtual Lunch & Learn Sessions to see what the upcoming changes to Medicaid and SNAP may look like. Experts and advocates from Just Harvest, J Badger Consulting, Pennsylvania Health Action Network, Pennsylvania Health Law Project, St. Clair Health, and more will be on hand to help lead the discussion!

Medicaid, known as Medical Assistance here in Pennsylvania, is an essential, life-sustaining program and helps millions of low-income people -- supporting disability and mental health services, providing nursing home care, covering Medicare costs, and much more. It helps Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike, in every county of the commonwealth.

During the month of August, we invite you to join us to learn more about these programs and hear from experts and advocates how recent federal changes are likely to impact access and create challenges for the people who rely upon the generational promises they represent. We will also talk about how to help people who qualify for these programs not fall through the cracks, as well as how to advocate for a strong, responsive system.

Our Lunch & Learn series will take place from 12:15-12:45 p.m. and can be accessed at RepDanMiller.com. Here’s a look at the schedule:
