As a reminder, the deadline for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program has been extended to Dec. 31, 2025. This will provide more time for eligible older Pennsylvanians, widows and widowers, and residents with disabilities to apply for rebates on property taxes or rent paid in 2024.
Thanks to a historic expansion of the program passed by the General Assembly that went into effect last year, more Pennsylvanians than ever are eligible for the rebates, with maximum payments of up to $1,000.
Last year the PTRR program delivered 522,434 rebates totaling $319.2 million to Pennsylvanians across the state. This was a major increase from the prior year — when 405,493 rebates totaling $192 million were distributed – and included 106,000 first-time filers.
Filing is free, easy, and can be done online through myPATH. We are also happy to help you file your application through our district office.
