Join us on April 24th from 5-6 p.m. at the Castle Shannon Fire Hall to be entertained by Band Together Pittsburgh, an organization that showcases the talents of musicians on the autism spectrum. Band Together Pittsburgh provides innovative programming, experiences, and vocational opportunities to help individuals enhance their lives.
After the performance, you are invited to take some time to explore all the resources and organizations at our South Hills Futures Fair from 6-8 p.m. This special event, designed with local school districts, helps young adults with IEPs plan life after high school. This fair will offer educational, employment, housing, leisure, and support resources for teens and young adults with disabilities.
Don’t forget to pre-register for this year’s Disability & Mental Health Summit, which will take place May 8-9 at CCAC’s Allegheny Campus on the North Side.
Now in its 12th year, our free Summit has touched thousands of lives and educated legislators from both sides of the aisle, while helping to inform families and working to increase opportunities for self-advocates across the board.
For a full schedule of everything that is happening and details about this year’s sessions and speakers, please visit DisabilitySummit.com. To pre-register to attend, please click here.
We hope to see you there!
If you need help or have questions about the Summit or any state matter, please contact my office by emailing repmiller@pahouse.net or calling 412-343-3870.
