Join us for an informational webinar with representatives from PennDOT’s REAL ID Bureau. After a presentation from PennDOT, we’ll open up the forum to questions from constituents to ensure that they have correct and current information about what’s needed to get a REAL ID.

In addition to their regular hours, PennDOT has announced that local Driver License Centers will also be open on some Mondays between now and the May 7 enforcement deadline. These special hours are for REAL ID processing only. Here are the dates and locations that are nearby:

As a reminder, getting a REAL ID is optional in Pennsylvania, but beginning May 7, 2025, Pennsylvanians will need a REAL ID-compliant license/identification card, or another form of federally acceptable identification (such as a passport or military ID) to:
- Board domestic commercial flights.
- Enter a military base.
- Enter certain federal facilities that require a federally acceptable form of ID.
Please note that you can continue to apply for a REAL ID after the May 7 enforcement deadline.
