PA HOUSE PASSES MY HUNTING & TRAPPING EDUCATION BILL

The PA House recently passed my legislation, HB 2460, which would give schools across Pennsylvania the option to offer hunting and trapping education to students in grades 6-12.

The bill directs the Pennsylvania Game Commission to develop an age-appropriate program that mirrors the PGC's existing basic hunter-trapper education course.

As Majority Chair of the House Game & Fisheries Committee, I believe this legislation gives kids the chance to learn firsthand about wildlife conservation and the outdoor traditions, skills, and knowledge that have shaped our Commonwealth for generations.

I appreciate the PA Game Commission for their recognition of this opportunity to make hunter-trapper education more accessible to PA students.

DELIVERING FOR YOU AT THE CAPITOL

I’d like to highlight some of the other important bills my House colleagues and I recently passed that will help our neighbors and improve communities:

We continued our efforts to hold Big Tech accountable and protect our communities by banning state and local government agencies from entering into non-disclosure agreements for data center development (HB 2359).

We’re supporting our first responders by increasing opportunities for minors in emergency service organizations (HB 2014).

We’re protecting consumers and ensuring fair pricing by prohibiting rideshare companies from setting prices based on your device’s condition. (HB 2512).
