I’m pleased to announce that more than $2.8 million in state grants from the Multimodal Transportation Fund and the PA Small Water and Sewer Program will support projects across the 45th Legislative District.

These grants will help communities advance important initiatives they’ve long requested, from safer pedestrian crossings to critical sanitary sewer repairs.

With bitter cold weather upon us, I want to remind residents about the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), designed to help keep your home safe and warm. LIHEAP provides cash grants of up to $1,000 based on income. These grants are sent directly to your utility provider or fuel company and do not need to be repaid.

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, America250PA is awarding $250,000 in Semiquincentennial Scholarships to Pennsylvania students who plan to continue their education within the Commonwealth.

Pennsylvania high school seniors planning to attend an accredited in-state college or university for the 2026–2027 academic year can apply.

The program will award 25 scholarships of $10,000 each across America250PA’s six regions, with up to 12 reserved for community college students and up to 13 for students attending four-year institutions.
