PennDOT is holding special REAL ID Days at the Bridgeville Driver License Center (1025 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA) on March 3, April 14, and May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help Pennsylvanians get their REAL ID.

While getting a REAL ID is optional, starting May 7, 2025, you'll need a REAL ID-compliant license or another form of acceptable ID (like a passport or military ID) to:

• Board domestic commercial flights.
• Enter military bases.
• Enter certain federal facilities that require a federally acceptable form of ID.

Check the list of documents needed for a REAL ID or use the REAL ID online wizard if you're unsure about getting one.

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program is now accepting applications! This program provides a rebate ranging from $380 to $1,000 to eligible older adults and people with disabilities age 18 or older. 

Thanks to this year’s updates, the annual income limit for homeowners and renters is now $46,520, which is up more than $1,500 from last year.

Tax season is underway and I wanted to remind you of a state program I voted to expand: the state’s Child/Dependent Care Enhancement Tax Credit. This credit can help reduce your expenses for child and dependent care. The amount ranges from $600 to $2,100, depending on your income level and the number of dependents you have. The state program matches the federal government’s amount at 100%. If you claim this credit on your federal taxes, you can do so on your state taxes, too. Click here to learn more.
