Pennsylvania is behind the curve on providing protections to residents seeking bankruptcy, only providing the minimum federal protections set by the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. This is why I introduced HB 1631, which would provide Pennsylvania-specific exemptions, ensuring that every middle-class resident of this Commonwealth is protected. East Whiteland Township and West Chester University worked together to preserve the beautiful Ridley Springs Farm as open space for students and local residents and cements the legacy of this historic property. The land will be available to WCU students majoring in fields from geology and earth sciences to arts and humanities, as well as community members looking to explore one of Chester County’s most beautiful landscapes.
