ABATE of PA Rights Rally in Harrisburg

While in Harrisburg last week, I attended the Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) Rights Rally. These activists fight to protect the freedom and promote the interest of American motorcyclists. They are advocates for their cause and dedicated to preserving their rights as motorcyclists through political change, charitable works, and public education.

Thank you for promoting motorcycle safety, educating the public about motorcycle awareness, defending against harassment and discrimination, and preserving motorcycling as transportation and recreation. Keep up the good work!

(Thank you, Fred Standard, for promoting motorcycle safety!)

Nurses Rally for Protection of PA Healthcare Systems

Protecting Pennsylvania’s Healthcare Systems is a top priority for me. ALL Pennsylvanians should have access to quality and affordable health care. There is significant legislation being proposed in both the PA House (HB 1460) and PA Senate (SB 322) that would allow the Attorney General’s office more tools to effectively oversee ill-fated mergers and financial transactions which undermine the sustainability of hospital operations and patient access to quality health care. This proposed legislation would provide the AG with the necessary authority to evaluate these mergers and financial transactions involving health care systems and allow for intervention when they pose a threat to the public.

I was proud to join several other state senators and representatives at the Rally for Protection of PA Healthcare Systems held by the PA Association of Staff Nurses & Allied Professionals (PA SNAP). This union of dedicated nurses and health professionals are advocating to keep private equity out of the PA Healthcare System and to continue to make quality health care readily available to residents of the Commonwealth.

Regional District Attorneys (DA) Legislative Discussion

One of our top priorities as lawmakers is to keep our communities safe. I had the opportunity to meet with three district attorneys from around the region during a legislative discussion addressing a very dangerous trend plaguing our communities – machine gun conversion devices. Montgomery County DA Kevin Steele, Delaware County DA Jack Stollsteimer, and Chester County DA Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe were the moderators for this important discussion. These deadly devices threaten the safety of our citizens, especially innocent bystanders witnessing criminal violence, and place law enforcement officers in danger from the extreme firepower. These “switches” can turn a 40-caliber handgun into an automatic weapon that can shoot 23 rounds in less than 2 seconds.

I hope having these important discussions amongst lawmakers and DAs across the Commonwealth will result in legislation that will protect you and the community you live in.

Day of Advocacy with Bucks-Mont Collaborative

The Bucks-Mont Collaborative is a nonprofit membership organization that is dedicated to gathering information and sharing resources to produce results-oriented impacts on health and human service issues in Bucks

and Montgomery counties.

I was able to meet with representatives from the Collaborative and Housing Alliance of PA to discuss housing and behavioral health needs in our region.

These are both big issues that we are working hard to tackle in Harrisburg!

Congratulations, Graduates!

I send my heartiest congratulations to all the seniors graduating from Abington High School, Hatboro-Horsham High School, Lower Moreland High School, and Upper Moreland High School.

Roslyn Community Day

Despite the cloudy weather, Roslyn Community Day was still a success! We were able to discuss important issues with constituents from in and around Abington and watch the kiddos enjoy the fun bounce houses and activities. It's always a fun day to be out and about in the community!

Pride Month 2025

We are proud to celebrate Pride Month throughout June! Our office is a place that embraces love, diversity, acceptance, and equality for all. Everyone who walks through our doors deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued. Being able to express your authentic self is a fundamental human right—and one we wholeheartedly support.

We honor the resilience and courage of the LGBTQ+ community and want them to know we stand with them proudly. Don’t miss the Bucks-Mont Pride Festival on Sunday, June 29 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Abington Art Center. My office will have a table there so be sure to stop by and say hello!
