Municipal Elections are extremely important, as these elections influence policies that most affect you, your neighborhoods, schools, public safety, and overall quality of life. Mark these dates on your calendar so that you don’t miss these important deadlines.

Abington Township Requesting Community Input
|
The Township of Abington is an entitlement grantee under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. In compliance with HUD regulations, Abington must prepare a Consolidated Plan every five years to assess its affordable housing, community development, economic development, and strategic planning needs. The needs and priorities identified in the Consolidated Plan are addressed annually through the Annual Action Plans which present what specific activities the Township will accomplish with CDBG funds.
As part of the planning process, it is essential for them to consult with residents of Abington to gather needs and priorities for the preparation of their Five Year Consolidated Plan. They would like to hear your suggestions and recommendations to include in the plan. To participate, please use the following link:

Community Budget Briefing

Curious about the State Budget?
Join me, my fellow Reps., and Appropriations Committee Majority Chairman Rep. Jordan Harris, at the Southeast Delegation Community State Budget Briefing on Thursday, May 1st from 6pm-8pm. The briefing will be held at the Municipality of Norristown, Council Chambers located at 235 East Airy Street, Norristown, PA 19401.

Mitzvah Circle Donation Drive

Our Mitzvah Circle Donation Drive was a huge success thanks to the generosity of you – the community! Mitzvah Circle is a local organization that provides goods to individuals and families facing poverty, homelessness, severe illness, and difficult circumstances. The donations that you so graciously dropped off at our office were picked up by Mitzvah Circle volunteers and taken to their facility where they will be used to help those in need. Many thanks for your continued generosity.

Join us for our Community Resource Fair on Saturday, May 31st at Salem Baptist Church from 10am-1pm. There will be several vendors to help keep you connected to local businesses, organizations, and neighbors.
The Roslyn Pet Fair will be occurring at the same time and same place.??????Swing by to get pet rescue information and see what pet products they have for sale!

E-Waste Recycling & Shredding Event
|
Our Spring E-Waste/Shredding Event will take place at Upper Moreland High School on Saturday, May 10th from 9 am-12 pm. Small Appliances will be accepted. NO monitors or TVs will be accepted. There is a limit of 3 boxes of shredding per car. For any questions concerning this event, please call the office at 215-259-5962.
