Pennsylvania Jewish Legislative Caucus stands in solidarity with Israel after deadly terrorist attack

HARRISBURG, Oct. 8 – The Pennsylvania Jewish Legislative Caucus issued the following statement today regarding the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel.

"Saturday was Shemini Atzeret, a holiday meant to be a day of joyous celebration for the Jewish people. Instead, we are heartbroken to learn that Hamas orchestrated a terrorist attack deliberately murdering and abducting civilians, marring this holy day as one of the most heinous acts of terrorism in Israel's history.

"Israel has a right to defend itself, and our hearts go out to the people of Israel and the Israeli Defense Forces as they fight to secure their homeland.

"We stand with Israel as they defend against this attack, and we pray for the people of Israel."

The Pennsylvania Jewish Legislative Caucus is co-chaired by state Rep. Dan Frankel, D-Allegheny, and state Sen. Judy Schwank, D-Berks. More information about the caucus and its members can be found at www.pahouse.com/JLC.
