Join me for a free Shredding Event from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26 at Ben Franklin Middle School, located at 6403 Mill Creek Road, Levittown. Please note, this is a different location than our previous events.
To participate, please RSVP by calling my office at (267) 580-2660 or emailing RepDavis@pahouse.net. There’s a limit of five boxes or bags per person, so please plan accordingly.

Better funding for our schools
|
As your state representative, I’m committed to ensuring every child in Pennsylvania has access to a fully and fairly funded public education. That’s why I’ll be participating in the Lower Bucks Public Education Town Hall hosted by Children First and POWER Bucks at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at the Bristol Township School Administration Building, located at 5 Blue Lake Rd, Levittown, PA 19057.
This important event brings together parents, students, educators, faith leaders, and community members to address the serious funding challenges facing our local schools.
While last year’s state budget made strides in increasing education funding, we’re still far from where we need to be. Pennsylvania schools are underfunded by an estimated $4 billion, and we urgently need reforms to our outdated cyber charter funding system.
Children First and POWER Bucks are giving our community a platform to speak directly to legislators — including myself — about the resources our schools and students need to thrive.
I hope you’ll join us and lend your voice to this crucial conversation.
RSVP today and be part of the movement for fair school funding in Lower Bucks.

Keeping fido safe in the upcoming summer heat
|
As spring approaches and temperatures rise, the Animal Cruelty Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation wants to remind all pet owners of their legal responsibilities regarding animal care. Whether your pets are kept indoors or outdoors, it’s crucial to meet their basic needs, or risk facing animal neglect or cruelty charges.
Signs of Heat Stroke in pets include, but are not limited to, heavy panting, excessive drooling, vomiting, and red or purple gums. If you notice any of these symptoms, please seek veterinary assistance immediately.
For dogs tethered outside:
- They can only be tethered for up to 9 hours in temperatures up to 90°F.
- If temperatures exceed 90°F, dogs can only be tethered for 30 minutes.
- Ensure they have access to shade and clean water at all times.
While the tethering law is not enforceable by itself, it can be used as a factor when determining neglect if the dog is not provided with adequate care.
Additionally law enforcement or animal control officers may intervene if a pet is left in a vehicle and in imminent danger. They are permitted to use reasonable force to remove an animal from a vehicle if it’s believed to be at risk.
Lastly, please ensure that your dogs are licensed and up to date on rabies vaccinations.
Remember, any cat that spends time inside a home must also be vaccinated for rabies.
