Legislative Update, Eagles Super Bowl parade info; REAL ID hours return to Bensalem

Take SEPTA to the Eagles’ parade

The Philadelphia Eagles are world champions! To accommodate the parade on Friday, SEPTA is making service adjustments across all modes due to road closures and large crowds. Please note that real-time information on the SEPTA app will not reflect these changes. For the latest updates on schedules, station closures, and detours, visit the SEPTA website, follow SEPTA on X, and check System Alerts.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Lincoln Financial Field, travel north on Broad Street, and end on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. A ceremony will follow at the Art Museum from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. The best way to get to the parade is via the Market-Frankford Line [L] or Broad Street Line [B], with service running every 6-8 minutes starting at 5 a.m. Both lines will offer free rides, courtesy of a corporate sponsor, to help with crowd flow and safety.

Only a limited number of stations will be open to move crowds into the city, so please plan accordingly. For more details, click here.

It’s getting REAL

To help ensure Pennsylvanians are prepared for the upcoming federal REAL ID enforcement deadline of May 7, PennDOT will hold special REAL ID service hours at numerous locations across the Commonwealth.

These “REAL ID Mondays” will be held at the Bensalem Driver License Center, located at 4201 Neshaminy Blvd., on the following dates:

  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, April 14
  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, May 5

As a reminder, getting a REAL ID is optional in Pennsylvania, but beginning May 7, Pennsylvanians will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license/identification card, or another form of federally acceptable identification (such as a passport or military ID) to:

  • Board domestic commercial flights.
  • Enter a military base.
  • Enter certain federal facilities that require a federally acceptable form of ID.
