My Back to School Kick-Off
|
We may be in the midst of summer, but it is never too early to prepare for the next school year! That's why I will host a Back-to-School Kick-Off on Sunday, August 16th at my district office (1111 Penn Ave., Wyomissing).
This free event will have free backpacks and school supplies, as well as free haircuts to ensure that our local students have what they need and feel their best for the new school year! We will also have kids' face painting, food and drinks, door prizes, and over 20 tables with community and state resources.

Taking Part in National Night Out
|
I had a great time taking part in National Night Out across our district to connect with our neighbors and thank our local law enforcement and first responders for their service to our community.
My first stop was West Reading, where I joined Mayor Samatha Kaag to thank the officers of West Reading for all they do for the borough.
|
I then went over to Reading's celebration in City Park, where I had the opportunity to connect with the city's law enforcement and many of our neighbors.
To the law enforcement of Reading, West Reading, and the rest of our community, thank you for your service to all of us!

Honoring our Emerging Entrepreneurs
|
It was an honor to speak at the Emerging Entrepreneurs Leadership Academy Gala and celebrate the accomplishments of this year's graduating class.
Congratulations to all 40 students for your hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the program. Your willingness to learn, grow, and pursue new opportunities is inspiring, and I have no doubt that each of you has a bright future ahead.
I was also proud to present Pennsylvania House certificates recognizing this important milestone. Thank you to the Emerging Entrepreneurs Leadership Academy, the mentors, internship providers, business leaders, and community partners who continue to invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders.
