Feedback on Water Rate Increase
|
The Pennsylvania American Water Company, which serves parts of my district, is looking to implement major water and wastewater rate increases, up by 14.6% overall.
If you want to provide comment and push back against these price hikes, you can file a complaint with the Public Utilities Commission here. You can also receive more updates on this case by contacting the Office of Consumer Advocate at consumer@paoca.org.

Congratulations to Local Development Graduates
|
My staff had the opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony for the 43rd cohort from Connections Work, which works to remove barriers and allow for life-changing success through growth in professional development.
|
My staff also attended the graduation ceremony for Tec Centro Berks, where nearly 120 graduates have worked to build brighter futures for themselves and their families through various workforce training and adult education classes.
Congratulations to the graduates from both of these incredible organizations and thank you to Connections Work and Tec Centro for all the amazing work they do to advance our community!

It was great to meet with Bob Hoffmaster, President of the United Labor Council of Reading and Berks County. I am proud to support the work that Bob and our local unions do to protect workers in our community.
|
I had the honor of attending the United Labor Council of Reading and Berks County's Christmas Social. This event helped to provide support to local union members who need assistance due to the changing economy and recent strikes.
I am proud to stand side-by-side supporting our local union members, and I am so thankful to have been invited to attend this event.
