??Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month??

November marks Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. This month is especially important to me, as my father passed from this terminal illness in 2022. Early screenings can help to detect and treat this illness, and many other forms of cancer.

Hosting the Consulate General of the Dominican Republic

I had the honor of visiting the Dominican Community of Reading with the Consulate General of the Dominican Republic from Philadelphia, Lourdes Cecilia Herrera Tejada. I am proud to foster the incredible relationship our Commonwealth has with the Dominican Republic, and it was great to have the Consulate General visit our community!

Marking America's 250th Anniversary Through Art

My staff attended the unveiling of America250PA's "Bells Across PA" art piece at FirstEnergy Stadium. Designed by Benjamin Hoffman, a visual arts teacher from Kutztown Area High School, this is one of 108 bells across the Commonwealth that will celebrate Pennsylvania's role in the founding of our nation as we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Transgender Day of Remembrance

My staff attended Reading Pride's Transgender Day of Remembrance Memorial Ceremony on my behalf. We must continue to remember and honor the lives that have been lost to violence and transphobia, and I am proud to stand up for the transgender community here and across Pennsylvania.
