Advocating for our Winemakers

I joined the House Majority Policy Committee and Central PA House Delegation this week in visiting Nissley Vineyards in Lancaster to speak with growers and producers in the winemaking industry. It was a pleasure to speak with the Nissley family about how we can best support the wine industry’s economic growth throughout the state as legislators.

Highlighting Reading’s Economic Developments

The House Majority Policy Committee also joined in Reading this week to continue to look for new and improved ways to revitalize Reading’s downtown, and to discuss progress on Reading's City Revitalization and Improvement Zone (CRIZ) designation. Chairman of the Central PA House Delegation, Rep. Guzman, led a walking tour of downtown Reading highlighting economic developments in the region. Mayor Eddie Moran even joined us! Thank you to my colleagues who came to Reading to see our recent developments to the city, it was a pleasure to have you!!

Camp Safe Berks Ceremony

I was excited to join Safe Berks Summer Campers at Penn State Berks and present certificates to the participants. This camp offers the youth an opportunity to learn about social justice and collaborate for positive changes within their communities. It is truly remarkable seeing these youth so involved in their role within their communities, friendships, and schools.

Berks County Conservation Celebrates Awardees

The Berks County Conservation District Board of Directors and staff joined this week to celebrate the individuals and organizations that have excelled in the fields of conservation, agriculture, and engineering, and recognized the recipients of the 2025 Berks County Conservation District Scholarship. I was joined by my colleague Rep. Rusnock at this event and am pictured above with award recipients Sherry and Nick -- I extend a huge congratulations to all awardees and to those who were recognized for their excellence in conservation!
