Apply for Veterans Discount ID, Homeowner Fraud Protection

I'm teaming up with Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg to host events for local veterans interested in applying for a free Veterans ID and homeowners interested in signing up for the county’s free FraudSleuth property protection program.

Montgomery County veterans can have their discharge papers recorded for safekeeping with the county and will be issued a photo ID, which gives them access to a program to receive discounts for goods and services from participating Montgomery County merchants in appreciation for their service to our country. These services are provided at no charge.

Homeowners can have a profile set up online with the county to receive an alert if fraudulent activity is detected within the land records managed and maintained by the Recorder of Deeds. This service is provided at no charge. 

Veterans should bring their DD214 military discharge papers and a photo ID. Homeowners should bring a photo ID.
