ERIE, Aug. 14 – After outgrowing previous locations, state Rep. Ryan Bizzarro’s annual Senior Fair and Older Living Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday at the Bayfront Convention Center. The event is free and open to all members of the public.
“We welcomed more than 1,400 people to last year’s Senior Fair,” said Bizzarro, who represents Fairview and Millcreek townships. “To accommodate an even larger crowd we’ve secured the Bayfront Convention Center to allow seniors more space to mingle with friends and neighbors while obtaining the latest information on services and organizations that improve the lives of seniors.”
Bizzarro and his dedicated team spend the year planning the largest senior fair in the state. The event provides information on health and wellness, veterans benefits, caregiver support, technology assistance, consumer protection services, community programs and more. Free entertainment, light refreshments and door prizes are just a handful of the numerous perks returning for this year’s event.
The Bayfront Convention Center is located at 1 Sassafras Pier in Erie. Overflow parking is available at Liberty Park, with free shuttle service provided. Bizzarro’s team will also provide a shuttle cart in the convention center for seniors who need assistance navigating the convention parking lot.
Seniors and residents are reminded that if you miss this year’s event and need help locating services or programs, residents should call Bizzarro’s Millcreek office at 814-835-2880. The busiest office in the state, Bizzarro’s team has cleared more than 24,000 cases this year and prides itself on helping any resident, regardless of their ZIP code or personal politics. His Millcreek office at Peninsula Plaza will be closed Monday but is otherwise open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. He also has a team member at the Fairview Township Building every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
