HELPING THOSE IN NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY

Our office is hosting our annual personal care products drive for those in need in our community. All items donated will be given to the West Millcreek Food Pantry. Our office in Peninsula Plaza is open Monday through Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This drive has been a great way to help the pantry and those in need, providing personal care products that aren't easy to keep in stock at shelters and food pantries. Please donate if you are able!

STANDING UP FOR OUR NEIGHBORS

Our neighbors shouldn't suffer because of political gridlock. In our district – Fairview and Millcreek townships – we had more than 1,000 people receiving heating assistance in 2024. This includes seniors, families and parents with young children.

UPDATE: It’s a relief to see that commonsense and decency won out. Gov. Shapiro announced Wednesday that PA’s utility companies have promised not to shut off LIHEAP-eligible residents’ heat or electricity in November as the federal shutdown continues.

YOUR VOTE MATTERS

Congratulations to all the candidates – including mayors, judges and public servants – who won on Election Day.

Your hard work, dedication and commitment to public service have paid off – and now begins a new chapter of leadership, growth and impact. Thank you for stepping up and earning the trust of your communities.

Here’s to serving with integrity, amplifying all voices, and making meaningful progress together!

HOLDING EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE

When elections end, the signs need to go away. My bill would hold politicians responsible, because we need to keep our streets and communities clean. Watch the news coverage here

HOW WE VOTED

Budget negotiations continue and the House remains committed to returning to Harrisburg as soon as a deal can be reached. The House is scheduled to return to session Monday, Nov. 17 unless it is recalled sooner.

You can see how the state House voted on all bills here.

HALLOWEEN HELLO

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our office in Peninsula Plaza for popcorn and buttons on Oct. 30 and 31 for our Halloween Hello. We are always trying to make state services less spooky.

If you couldn’t make it, please remember we are always available at 1101 Peninsula Drive to help you when you need:

  • PennDOT renewals
  • Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications
  • Free notary services (excluding title transfers)
  • Veterans services
  • And much more!

VETERANS DAY IS TUESDAY

Tuesday is a day to honor all veterans! It’s a time to acknowledge all who served in the military – be it during wartime or peacetime – and thank living veterans for their service and contributions to our national security.

Please remember, my office and many state and federal offices will be closed on Tuesday. We will begin returning calls on Wednesday morning.

The Department of Transportation will close all its Driver and Photo License Centers Tuesday. Just as a reminder, my office can handle many of your PennDOT needs. Never hesitate to contact us by phone or email. You can also stop by our Millcreek office if you have any questions. If it's more convenient to stay in Fairview Township, we have a team member in the Fairview Township Building every Wednesday.

CELEBRATING 85 YEARS OF SERVICE

This week, we celebrated West Ridge Fire Department's 85 years of service!

For nearly a century, these dedicated volunteers have protected our community with courage, professionalism, and heart. Thank you to every firefighter — past and present — for your commitment and sacrifice.

Here’s to 85 more years of service!

WORKING FOR YOU

I will always advocate for you and local projects in Harrisburg. Our region is vital to the state’s economy, so I’ve gone to work to secure the state funding we need for local schools, seniors, veterans, improved housing and local businesses. I helped secure $92 million in funding for local projects during the 2023-24 session, and this year state funding for projects in our region has surpassed $18.6 million.

You sent me to Harrisburg to make sure our region has a voice at the table and receives the funding it needs to thrive.

POLICY COMMITTEE CONTINUES WORK

This year, the House Majority Policy Committee has held 42 hearings across 32 ZIP codes in 13 counties.

As a member of the House Majority Leadership team, I serve as Chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee. We travel the state, exploring issues and talking to members of the community, workers, advocates and experts on a variety of topics. We examine issues to see if there is a legislative solution to improving lives across the commonwealth.
