Deasy announces over $1.7 million in state grants for local communities

Funding to support projects for sidewalks and sewer systems

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 20 – State Rep. Dan Deasy, D-Allegheny, announced today that more than $1.7 million in state grants will support sidewalk enhancements and critical infrastructure projects in Green Tree, Rosslyn Farms, Ingram and Scott Township.

“These investments will make our communities safer and more walkable while addressing essential infrastructure needs that protect both residents and the environment,” Deasy said. “I’m pleased to see these state dollars coming back to our district to support projects that will have a lasting, positive impact on our neighborhoods.”

Deasy said grants from the Multimodal Transportation Fund include:

  • $650,000 to Green Tree Borough for a sidewalk enhancement project.
  • $230,000 to the borough of Rosslyn Farms for sidewalk installation.

Grants from the Small Water and Sewer Program include:

  • $425,000 to Green Tree Borough for storm sewer improvements on Holiday Drive and Mansfield Avenue.
  • $250,000 to Scott Township for 2026 sanitary sewer defect repairs.
  • $150,000 to Scott Township for 2025 ACHD cleaning and televising.
  • $50,000 to Ingram Borough for Winlock Avenue storm sewer replacement.

Grants from both the Multimodal Transportation Fund and the Small Water and Sewer Program were administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established in 2004 as an independent agency to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus programs.
