MONROEVILLE, Jan. 2 – State Rep. Brandon Markosek, D-Allegheny, announced today that Monroeville will receive more than $498,000 in Green Light-Go Program funding to modernize a heavily traveled intersection.
The funding will upgrade traffic signal equipment at the intersection of Monroeville Boulevard, Jamison Lane and Oxford Drive to enhance both traffic flow and safety for drivers and pedestrians.
"This intersection sees heavy daily traffic, and keeping it safe and efficient is essential for our community," Markosek said. "These upgrades will reduce congestion and make travel through Monroeville smoother and safer for everyone."
The Green Light-Go Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, provides state funding to enhance mobility and improve the efficiency of Pennsylvania's traffic signal network through strategic upgrades and replacements.
