Funding will support projects in Crafton, Green Tree and Scott Township

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 24 – State Rep. Dan Deasy, D-Allegheny, announced today that Crafton, Green Tree and Scott Township have been awarded funding through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund to support projects that improve traffic and pedestrian safety.
Deasy highlighted the following grant awards:
"From safer sidewalks to better transit connections, these projects address longstanding safety concerns,” Deasy said. “I've heard directly from constituents about these needs, and I'm pleased we could secure significant funding to assist our municipalities in creating more walkable and accessible areas that positively affect how residents navigate our communities."
The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the commonwealth. Funds may be used for the development, rehabilitation and enhancement of transportation assets to existing communities, streetscape, lighting, sidewalk enhancement, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets and transit-oriented development.
