Monaca site to offer nasal swab test

AMBRIDGE, Dec. 23 – Beaver County residents will have access to free COVID-19 testing at a drive through-clinic in Monaca beginning Dec. 27, state Rep. Rob Matzie, D-Beaver/Allegheny, announced.
Matzie said the testing will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Sunday, Dec. 27 through Thursday, Dec. 31 at the Community College of Beaver County, 1 Campus Drive, Monaca.
Matzie said mid-nasal passage swab PCR tests are free and will be performed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Patients must be 3 or older and are not required to show symptoms of COVID-19 to be tested. No appointment is necessary.
Patients are encouraged to bring a photo-ID or insurance card. Registration will also be completed on-site. The turnaround time for testing results is two to seven days after testing.
