						Last week, I joined a bipartisan group of fellow lawmakers from the House Energy Committee to tour the Cordia Bruce Mangione Steam Plant in Harrisburg and learn how we can harness all forms of energy in Pennsylvania. 						I joined local and state leaders from across Pennsylvania to cut the ribbon on the new Pittsburgh International Airport landside terminal. This beautiful new front door to our region will help the world connect with our community, and I look forward to showing it off when it officially opens soon. 						Eleven students from North Allegheny have qualified for the PMEA District 1 Honors Band out of over 600 who auditioned from districts across our region. They will perform with the PMEA Honors Band on November 23. You can read more about their accomplishment here. |

						Twenty-four students from North Allegheny were selected to participate in the PMEA Honors String Orchestra, which will perform at the PMEA Festival at Carson Middle School on November 16.   Congratulations to all of you for your amazing musical talent, and best of luck with your performances! |

						Animal Friends will be supporting veterans and current service members by providing free vaccinations for their cats and dogs. They will be at Alco Parking Red Lot 7C, 630 Scotland Ave, Pittsburgh on October 30th from 10 AM – 3 PM.   Proof of military or veteran status will be required. No appointments are necessary.
