Dear Neighbor,
As 2025 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to thank you. I am deeply grateful for the countless ways you show up for me, and for one another, every day. Whether it is a kind note, a conversation at a community event, or the work you do as a neighbor, a parent, a volunteer, or a student -- I am reminded constantly that our strength comes from the people who care deeply about our community and about each other.
This past year has certainly brought its share of challenges, but it also demonstrated once again what can be achieved when we work together for the common good. We made more progress on funding public schools, supporting vital services, and investing in local infrastructure to make our communities safer, stronger, and more connected. I had the privilege of working with educators, local leaders, small business owners, and others across Centre County and across our commonwealth to tackle real problems with practical, sustainable solutions that positively impact their lives and livelihoods. Those partnerships, grounded in respect and purpose, continue to shape my work and to reinforce my belief that solving our problems starts with listening and finding common ground.
As we head into the holiday season, I hope you find time to rest, reflect, and enjoy moments of warmth and comfort with the people you love. However you celebrate, I wish you peace, good health, and renewed hope in the year ahead. From my family and my team, we wish you a warm holiday and a happy New Year.
See you in 2026!

$1.28 Million in New Grant Funding for the 82nd District
|
|
|
I am thrilled to announce nearly $1.3 million in new grant funding that I was able to help deliver to the 82nd District this month. These investments will support communities across the district, from the Bald Eagle Valley to the Mountaintop and the Centre Region.
This funding will help finance local projects and services that will make a real difference for families and communities across Centre County. From safer roads and more reliable emergency services to improved trails, parks, and essential equipment for our volunteer responders and townships, these awards help ensure that our communities are safer, more connected, and better prepared for the future.

Holiday Blessing Boxes with the YMCA
|
|
|
For the second month in a row, our office partnered with the YMCA’s Anti-Hunger program, this time for a Holiday Food Drive. So many of you stepped up to donate money, food, and your precious time to help those in need, and I am so grateful.
Last week, we helped pack, coordinate, and deliver nearly 80 boxes out of my State College office to help ensure that none of our neighbors go hungry this holiday.

I am so proud of what my team and I have been able to accomplish this year.
Here at home, my team and I hosted events throughout the district, from pop-up offices and mobile clinics to shredding events and pet supplies drives, as well as a Veterans’ Appreciation luncheon, an Accessibility Fair, a safe biking clinic, a license plate renewal clinic, our annual Senior Fair, town halls, and so much more. We also helped organize and support both food and school supply drives with the YMCA and worked with our friends at PAWS and PSU to get free and low-cost vaccinations out into the community.
Check out some of my favorite moments below and let me know if you have an idea for an event our office can organize to bring even more resources to our community in the year ahead!

2025 was also a tremendously productive and successful year in Harrisburg as well.
For example, PA House Democrats stood with Governor Shapiro through a painful, difficult, and frankly unnecessary 135-day delay, and ultimately passed a responsible, bipartisan 2025-26 state budget that delivers for all Pennsylvanians! After nearly eight months of hard work and tough negotiations, we delivered critical funding for public education and libraries, established a Working Families Tax Credit to put more money back into the hands of people who need and deserve it, and continued to invest in programs and services that support kids, seniors, veterans, farmers, first responders and more.
I am extremely proud of our efforts and believe that this fiscally responsible and forward-looking budget reflects many of our key priorities to support people and communities across our commonwealth. Thanks to all of you who reached out to voice your support and make your priorities known during this protracted, politically motivated impasse.
I am honored to also report that I have been entrusted by Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton to represent the House Majority Caucus on both the Rural Population Revitalization Commission (RPRC) and the State Board of Higher Education (SBHE). Subsequently, my fellow commissioners elected me to serve as Chair of the RPRC and was also appointed to the Policy Committee by the Chair of the SBHE.
These two incredible opportunities will give me both a front-row seat and a voice in helping guide and shape legislation, programs, and recommendations that can help transform Pennsylvania in the years ahead.
