Spooky season is almost here, and so is my annual Senior Resource Fair with Senator Lindsey Williams! Join us from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Ross Township Community Center (1000 Ross Municipal Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15237).

Explore dozens of health-related vendors, get the latest information on state programs and resources, and have some Halloween fun.

Revitalizing Bartlett Field

I had a blast volunteering at Bartlett Field in Ross Township last week!

I was proud to help connect North Hills Athletic Association with IBEW Local 5 to give Ted Bartlett Memorial Field a makeover. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and partners who rolled up their sleeves to improve this space for our kids to play and grow. This is what community looks like.

Honoring Fallen EMS Workers

Pennsylvania has lost 82 EMS providers in the line of duty.

In Pittsburgh, the birthplace of modern emergency medical services through Freedom House, we know just how important these first responders are. It was an honor to speak at the service and honor our fallen heroes, capping off this year's PA EMS Memorial Bike Ride.

Upcoming Events

The annual Capitol All-Stars Game is happening in Harrisburg on September 29. This is a bipartisan, bicameral (both Chambers) game that brings us together beyond partisan differences to raise money for our Commonwealth’s charitable food network. With both food insecurity and partisan tensions on the rise, the Capitol All-Stars Game is a great reminder that despite our differences, we can and we should come together to do what matters most – help the people of Pennsylvania.

Riverview Park Day 2025 and Spaceburgh 2025 are both happening in Riverview Park on Sunday, October 5. Volunteers may sign up here.

Ink for Impact at Velum Fermentation on Sunday, October 5.
