Still Waiting for the Senate
|
Where is the PA Senate? Anywhere but Harrisburg.
It’s been almost four weeks since the PA House passed a state budget bill, and the Republican-controlled state Senate is nowhere to be found. They’re not planning on holding session again until September 8. Playing partisan games like this around the budget has real consequences, jeopardizing funding for essential services that millions of Pennsylvanians rely on.
Meanwhile, the House is once again returning to Session this Sunday to attempt for a 5th time to get funding public transit done. We are doing the work. Now we need the Senate to do the same.
I encourage you to contact GOP Senate leaders and tell them to stop stalling, start governing, and do their job.

Last week, I was fortunate to visit Mootilda, a dairy cow the PA House adopted in 2024! She resides at Kurtland Farms in Elverson. My colleagues and I learned all about Mootilda’s birth, the milking process, health of dairy cows, and their diet and exercise.
Kurtland Farms is one of about 5,000 dairy farms in the Commonwealth. We were grateful for the opportunity to visit them and learn more about cows, how dairy farms operate, and their impact on the state.
