Historic movement on Adult Use Cannabis legislation

PA House Democrats passed historic legislation this week to legalize Adult Use Cannabis in the commonwealth! It will invest in our communities and make it easier to keep youth from using cannabis.

I urge the state Senate to pass this bill so PA can catch up with our neighboring states. Contact your state Senator today to voice your support for legalizing Adult Use Cannabis!

Protecting communities from flooding

The House Majority Policy Committee held a hearing on flood risk & mitigation last week. We listened to local officials and experts on the issues that they are facing. We need action to protect communities from future flooding as “historic events” become far too common due to the influence of climate change.

We celebrated so many different groups on the House floor this week – and of course we’re still celebrating that Eagles win!

Meet & Greet with Reading Leaders

I spent the day in Reading with my colleagues to meet with local business and community leaders about how we can best help them succeed.

We had great conversations and learned so much at Mayor Cherelle Parker’s Budget Town Hall! These conversations are how we make our city better.

I visited students at Your Child’s World Learning Center for storytime, the kids were engaged and we had so much fun.

It’s so important that we teach children the importance of reading.

I learned so much at the 2025 Annual Opportunities Breakfast hosted by VestedIn! This year’s theme was Fortify & Floruish: Emphasizing resilience and growth for small businesses.

When you start a new business endeavor, it’s important to not give up under pressure, stay grounded and you will flourish!

Celebrating unsung heroes

Let’s give a round of applause to the teachers who shape our future leaders and the nurses who care for us when we’re sick and vulnerable. Both jobs are extremely demanding – physically and mentally – and play vital roles in all of our lives.

Take time to thank a nurse and teacher – let’s show them support.
