Benham announces $215,000 for community projects

Grant funding supports Brentwood Community Park, Elizabeth Seton Center

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 19 – State Rep. Jessica Benham announced $215,000 in grant funding has been awarded to support two local development projects.

“I’m excited to see this funding awarded to projects that will improve and expand resources in Brentwood and Brookline,” said Benham, D-Allegheny. “I’m grateful to Senators Pisciottano and Fontana for their partnership in securing this funding, and I’ll continue to do everything I can as a state legislator to drive more investments like these to our community.”

Benham said project funding was awarded as follows:

  • $160,000 to Brentwood Borough for parking lot rehabilitation at Brentwood Community Park (secured in partnership with state Sen. Nick Pisciottano).
  • $55,000 to Elizabeth Seton Center to support land and building acquisition (secured in partnership with state Sen. Wayne Fontana).

The grants are sourced from the Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund, which is administered by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County and funded through gaming revenues.
