Prokopiak, Warren honor Pennsbury cheerleaders at state Capitol

HARRISBURG, April 29 – State Reps. Jim Prokopiak and Perry Warren welcomed the Pennsbury High School cheerleading team to the state Capitol today and presented the squad with a House citation recognizing its national championship.

The Pennsbury varsity cheerleaders captured the national title at the NCA High School Cheer Competition in Dallas in January, while the junior varsity team placed fifth in the nation.

“These student-athletes showed incredible skill, determination, and teamwork on a national stage, and they’ve made our entire community proud,” Prokopiak said.

The lawmakers also highlighted the team’s recognition as Go Be Great Award winners, honoring their leadership and service.

“Their success at the national level and recognition for their character reflect the hard work, discipline, and pride that define Pennsbury,” Warren said.

Prokopiak represents the 140th Legislative District, which includes Falls, Morrisville, Tullytown, and part of Middletown in Bucks County.

Warren represents the 31st Legislative District, which includes Lower Makefield, Newtown Borough, Newtown Township, Upper Makefield, and Yardley in Bucks County.
